Manure Analysis & Health Monitoring
Manure Analysis & Parasite Control
At Sorelle Horses, we take a targeted and responsible approach to parasite management. Rather than routine deworming, we regularly check manure samples to monitor the presence of worms.
Why we do this
Blind deworming is no longer the standard. Overuse can lead to resistance and unnecessary strain on the horse.
By analyzing manure, we:
- Detect the presence and level of worm eggs
- Identify when treatment is actually needed
- Avoid unnecessary deworming
- Support long-term effectiveness of treatments
Our approach in Bisenti
Our horses live outdoors year-round in the hills of Bisenti, with plenty of space, movement, and natural grazing. This lifestyle supports overall health, but also requires careful parasite monitoring.
That’s why we:
- Perform regular manure checks
- Treat only when thresholds are exceeded
- Adapt our approach per horse when needed
Precision over routine
Every horse is different. By working with actual data instead of fixed schedules, we keep our horses healthier while minimizing intervention.
The Sorelle Standard
Strong, resilient horses are built through balance, not excess. Manure analysis is a simple but essential part of maintaining that balance.
